Housing

Housing

With over half of Sierra Leoneans living below the poverty line, the country faces severe homelessness. Home shortage is highly attributed to unemployment and inequity in affordable housing. Consequently, underpaid and disadvantaged persons often end up roaming the streets without roof over their heads. Moreover, schools suffer from leaky roofs due to underfunding and poor maintenance. Therefore, our Housing initiative has renovated, remodeled, and repaired classrooms, latrines (toilets) and other school building infrastructures. Our overall goal includes building homeless shelters, community centers, schools, and churches.
